VATOMINTONE による初の写真集。

VATOMINTONE は東京を拠点に活動する写真家で、世界各地のアンダーグラウンドシーン、ストリートシーンに 入り込みながら数え切れないほどの写真を撮り続けてきました。今回の写真集は全て作家の自宅の暗室で手焼きさ れた写真をもとに構成されており、本来タブーとされる期限切れの印画紙や薬品を使用したり、フィルムの引き伸 ばしに使うキャリアを整形したり写真表現における可能性の再考を行なっています。そうした写真群は今までどこにも発表されず、何年もの間彼自身と友人達との間でしか共有されてきてきませんでした。そして今回を皮切りに彼によって切り取られたシーン史に刻まれるであろう数々の写真が世の中へと発表されていくでしょう。

VATOMINTONE is a photographer based in Tokyo who has taken countless photographs while immersing himself in underground and street scenes around the world. This photo book is made up entirely of photographs hand-printed in the artist's darkroom at home, and he reconsiders the possibilities of photographic expression by using expired photographic paper and chemicals, which are normally taboo, and by reforming the carriers used for enlarging film.These photographs have never been published anywhere before, and for many years have only been shared between him and his friends. Now, starting with this book, many of the photographs that will go down in history as street scenes will be released to the world.
